Although I hope I’m wrong, I suspect that AB will suffer a tragic demise before too long. His behavior is very self-destructive.

So many thought the Steelers were crazy for letting him go. I feel sorry for AB, such talent but poor impulse control.

Like so many teams in so many sports where they find a talent and see only the skills and never look behind the curtain at the personality or lack of social skills, ethics, morality and common sense to see the social defects that plague the soul of the individual. Erratic behavior? Lawlessness? Drugs? Trouble? Socially inept? Violent? Hey…. no problem. The guy runs the 40 in 3.9 and can catch a pass one-handed. So he assaulted his girlfriend. Everybody has a bad day.

TB12 gave him a couple chances and he did respond to encouragement, but, well, …, it didn’t last long. I do recognize his name, so that’s more than some.

Wait, Arena football has been around long enough for AB to have a father who played in the League??

An athlete doesn’t just need skills, they also need to have good sportsmanship, humility and self control.

Does raised noise levels count as giving back to a community?

How does a team get booted out of a professional league? Other than by trying to rip off the other team owners, that is.

So Wikipedia says:

On June 15, 2023, the National Arena League terminated the Empire’s franchise agreement, due to Brown’s failure to pay the league for dues and fines that he owed.

So he DID try to rip off the other team owners.

By the way, that Wikipedia article has this quote:

“Brown’s representatives told the Times Union, a newspaper in Albany, that Brown has no personal ownership or control over the Empire, and that the team is actually owned by Antonio El-Allah Express Trust Enterprise, which is owned by a foreign citizen named Antonio El-Allah. The bold face text [my bolding] of that second paragraph contains words used by sov-cits — people who claim to be “sovereign” and therefore not bound by any laws they don’t “consent” to.
