Mom: We need a new one, and they're on sale all over town. But which one?? There used to be one choice...now there's a whole wall of them! Each claims to do something more spectacular. And try finding anyone who can answer a question about any of them! HAH!! Cathy: Digital camera? Dad: Tube of toothpaste.

More proof that insanity is hereditary (it goes both ways too – from parent to child and vice versa) ;-)Good morning, nutty Cathy clan!! I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!

You said it lightenup! My sister has a t-shirt that says Insanity is hereditary – I got it from my kids! :-)
Good morning to you and the rest of the clan! Happy Friday!

Poor Mom. Her head is going to explode. I get tickled at people who will drive extra miles to the store offering an item for two dollars less than their nearest store. They’re losing money on gas.Good morning, lightenup, shygirl, and ncalifgirl and the rest of the Clan yet to come. I hope those who celebrate can peacefully enjoy these next ten days leading up to Christmas and not get wound up in the madness (or their tree lights). Shop online! But do it soon!

Excellent advice – shopping online. Did that already. Only one more shipment to arrive and my shopping is done! Much better this way – I hate crowded stores. Good afternoon fellow Cathyites. Reconstruction of the basement proceeding very smoothy and really quickly too. Former rec rec room is almost done – just waiting for the flooring to arrive. Once it is finished, my office will move there and they can rip out the floor of the office to let it dry out (yes it is getting rather musty in here with the water trapped under the floor). Really good crew working here. If all goes well (if the flooring arrives early next week) we can empty and get rid of the container in the driveway so my daughters will have somewhere to park when they come home for Christmas. (and my wife is getting worried about being able to get her car out of the neighbour’s driveway after a snowstorm)

Good Heavens!!! I don’t think I’ve EVER seen so much angst and agony over a tube of toothpaste before!!!!! I guess whatever they’ve been using up ‘til now was no good; otherwise she’d just go and pick up the exact same brand again and call that chore done. That’s what I do: “Sensodyne Tartar Control Plus Whitening” for my sensitive teeth . . . every single time.
No doubt about it: the whack-a-doo nut sure didn’t fall far from the whack-a-doo tree!!! If only Cathy had inherited at least some of her dad’s common sense, she’d be a whole lot better off in life than she is today!!!!!
Hi, rgcviper!
hendelca: So glad to hear the basement reconstruction is going so well. Jealous, though, that you were able to do all your shopping online this year! My mother wants a new lampshade for her favorite floor lamp for Christmas . . . just one of those kind of things that you have to look at and measure in person to make sure you get the exact right size and shape! And unless we get lucky the second time around (my husband was at a Meijer today and couldn’t find anything there), we’ve got approximately 10 other places that I know of right off hand to go looking for it — so that by itself could turn into an all day job just looking for ONE gift! NOT looking forward to it!!!!!
Aaron & Dr. Billy: Last heard from you 8 weeks ago today! Please come back soon. We miss you!!!!! :-(
Hello and Happy Friday to all my nutty “Cathy” family! Hope you have a really wonderful weekend!!!

As I always say …
“I don’t suffer from insanity … I enjoy every minute of it!”
As for the comic, the usual “nut job” and “eye roll” comments should suffice. Ha.
HI, MOM!
Happy Friday, “Cathy” Clan.

Hi Cathyites!! I have felt this way about “too many choices” at times. I want my olives and pickles with “all the salt” not “half the salt” and I really don’t need 25 different choices for the same brand of toothpaste (or anything else for that matter).
