Friend of mine is an arachnophobe. Even the mention of spiders sets him off.
I, on the other hand, had a spider move into a low-traffic part of my kitchen and I figured she could keep the actual nasty critters down (you can’t bring a bunch of bananas into the house with also importing a whole community of gnats). Named the spider Chloe and did my best not to disturb her; sometimes I’d open a cabinet and the air currents would make the web move. Sometimes she’d startle and I’d apologize, other times she wouldn’t move and I figure she was sleeping.
Only time we ever had any issues was when Chloe decided to expand the web. I could take one look at her and see she’d put on a lot of weight since we first met, so I knew she wasn’t starving, and I trimmed back the web to keep it reasonable.
Just send the spider to France. There it can eat all the French Flies it wants. And the spider doesn’t have to worry about Frogs eating them. For the French do like to eat Frog-Legs. And maybe while over there the spider might find it’s soulmate. And then they would become newlywebs.
I feel sorry for those with arachnophobia, although not sympathy, technically. Sorry folks, I’ve just never felt there was anything scary about spiders. Or bees and hornets for that matter. I certainly do understand how those with allergic reactions feel that way!
My folks used to live in the hill country northwest of Austin, TX. They had Tarantula migrations there. At certain times of the year you could see this carpet of hundreds of spiders moving across the roads in the back country. Talk about giving you the heeby jeebies.
That reminds me of when I was laying in the grass under my Jeep, trying to fix something. I looked up at a hose out of place and realized it was a big black snake, looking back at me from 10” away! Yow!

That would be me ( unless I killed it, depending on what kind of spider it was).

Think of it as a tiny lobster and eat it.

I do everything I can to get spiders outside where they can eat other insects. I also try to get flies outside.
Now roaches and mosquitoes I kill on sight.

Spiders are good. They eat bugs.

Depending on size and species, call either Orkin© or the National Guard.
