In MN, the long cold Winters traditionally have suppressed fireflies. Maybe as the warm climate moves North, we’ll see more of them. Regarding bees, not many this year.
Oh. As far as I am aware, the definition of “blinking planet” depends on the definition of the category. A number of planets in the galaxy ‘blink’, but not from something like the bio-luminescence of fireflies.
Besides that, in a manner of speaking we already know of at least 1 planet that ‘blinks’. It’s called Earth, as Martin noted above.

What are they doing to fend off all the mosquitoes? Are they afraid of getting diabetes from the sheer amount of sugar and love in their bloodstreams?

We could revolutionize the movies if we added AI plots and send the bugs to acting school.

Firefly populations have crashed in many areas. Setting up a refuge on another planet may be the only way they survive.

NASA astronauts actually have observed a macrobioluminescence phenomenon called the Wheels of Poseidon on Earth.

That’s the first clue or hint to what Jimbo does for a living, even if it was just for fun, as far as I know
