Years ago in my 20’s when I was talking about tolerance for other cultures due to some unthinking things a childhood friend was in the habit of saying. Must have hit a nerve because this ‘friend’ brought up something I had clowningly said at age 8 or 9. Repeated it sounded awful, it was due to a TV show I had watched and loved at an even younger age. People grow and change.
