I had turned a two car garage into a practice studio for a band I was playing in. Separate heat and air, acoustic and soundproofing, carpet, one sculptured wall and the other with a mural of an Alaskan river. When the band broke up, I added a massive Motorola TV (Old tech) and paired it with VHS, a powered Peavey mixer board, and a Klipsch Horn PA system. With the recliners I added, I think I qualified for a home theater designation before there was one. (Early 80’s) The first movie I watched was ‘The Navigator’. (Oh, and I made my own popcorn.)My next move was into an apartment. There were tears involved.
