Living in an area where it was free range cattle, we often found salt licks around when we wandered the hills. We would often break a small chunk off to take with us. Not once did we ever consider who, or even what may have licked it prior to our samplings.

There might be a tongue of bacteria on that thing.

Makes you wonder. Have Karl try it first. :)
