We had a cat who did not like the cat flap. There were two doors leading out of the kitchen, about 6 feet apart. The one leading to the garage had the cat flap. This cat would sit in front of the other door and holler at the top of his lungs to be let out. I saw him doing this one day, picked him up, and put him through the cat flap. Yes, gently, of course. He was not pleased. From then on, if he wanted out and saw me coming, he would change his mind and use the cat flap on his own. Smart kitty.
