I have learned how to hold a cat so that neither of you are traumatized. It really is not hard once you learn how.

Never mind finding the clippers, Angie. Good luck finding the Mittens.

My two cats sit and purr while I clip their nails. It wasn’t always that way, but it sure makes it easier.

Settle down, Mittens, and let Momma trim your nails.

Nail trims are a two person job in our home. I hold the cats, hubby trims the nails

The long scratch on the top of my right foot tells me I should have a similar convo with Sanibel . . .

Currently, Grandpa holds the baby and I do the clipping. He’s starting to fuss less, but we have to do it when he’s sleepy, because he’s either racing around getting into things or asleep. It’s not surprising since he’s just turned a year old.

I have a mobile pet groomer who comes to clip the boys’ nails every so often. She’s quick and gentle, one we get them into the studio and shut the door, and then get them out from under the couch, or under the desk . . .

I try to get one claw trimmed after a five minute session of “lovey-dovey” with my cat. It’s slower that way but gets the job done.

I had one cat with whom I struggled for years at claw-trimming time. Quite by accident, I discovered she simply did not like being held down for the process. One day I lifted her paw and she let me quickly trim the claws. Life was lots easier after that.
