I would agree – it woul be more fun to know who was originally mentioned in this strip. Julia Roberts was not born until 1967 and the last original Mutt and Jeff strip was published in 1982 – when Julia Roberts would have been FIFTEEN and definitely not a star by that time! Since they appear to still be using curtains – instead of doors – to separate rooms – my guess is that this particular strip could have been published as early as the 1920s or as late as the 1950s. At least we aren’t looking at a caricature of Betty Grable while the writers try to convince us that Julia Roberts looks exactly like Betty Grable!
