Only Bobby Hatfield is allowed to have an unchained melody.
Anybody else get that musical earworm now?
I’d rather go to a park where melodies are allowed to roam free!
Righteous Dude!
He always carries his music with him…
I recently found out why the title is “Unchained Melody.” It first was used in a 50s prison movie sung by an inmate who wondered if his love was still faithful to him. It kind of adds a poignancy to the song.
The Sam Cooke version is my favorite.
