This is almost like Star Wars right here.

The chase was exciting but the climax just flopped.

Sigh. Another “the real ice cream truck was the friends we made along the way” trope.

Old Jingles rides again.

That’s a dumb way to end it because they didn’t get any ice cream out of it which is all they wanted in the first place.

And of course, they can never chase the truck again.

Well, I think we’ve all learned something very special here.

I remember being late for the ice cream truck and chasing it down the street. Not a happy feeling…and so I reflect…

For some kids, it’s all about the thrill of the chase and not the actual catching.

Nah. Not buying it. You got a gun, you got the last white tiger in existence in your sights, it’s going down, baby.

They might have liked spending the afternoon eating ice cream together.

Guess they’ll just have to buy their own ice cream from a store now.

But who’s paying for the fuel . . ?

Now he can chase it down and get a treat…like old times!

Some people say life isn’t about the destination it’s about the journey.

I can’t speak about life, but I know my vacations are about the destination and not the flights to get there.

Ice creamless is my guess.

So no one ever actually gets ice cream?

I’m only left with 7 or 8 questions and a bad feeling of being let down, like when my high school sweet heart told me we needed to start dating other people.

I like the ending. They accomplished their goal – they caught Old Jingles – and now it’s someone else’s turn to try. And along the way, Miles and Kevin have made new friends, we learned that Kyle has a zen streak and he’s smarter than we think.

Still didn’t get any ice cream out of it.

he probably doesn’t realize this, but when ice cream trucks stop, you can buy ice cream from them, which you can eat with your friends on summer afternoons.

Dumbest reasoning I ever heard. “We have some kind of a magic ice cream truck that never stops to give out ice cream. Let’s do a catch and release because, after all, that’s what you were really after.” No, putz. They were after ice cream.

Well, that was a let-down. How about solving the riddle and THEN letting it go? So stupid. I hope this strip doesn’t keep going down these weird tangents. I might have to drop it in spite of the fact that I like the artwork and the characters.
