Isn’t the moon just an optical delusion?

I stayed up way past my bedtime to see the moon landing. If it wasn’t real, I want my money back.

It was a fake. But NASA wanted it to look very good, so they hired the film maker they thought could do the best job. They picked Stanley Kubrick, well known for his attention to detail and realism. Kubrick loved going on location. He decided that the best way to make a movie about a fake moon landing was to go to the moon and film it there on location. So, Kubrick packed up his crew and everyone and they went to the moon and filmed the fake moon landing on the moon to make it look real. If you don’t get the joke that’s your problem. The singer at the end of Kubrick’c film Paths to Glory was his wife. She was an artist and she did most, if not all of the paintings in Harford’s apartment in the movie Eyes Wide Shut. And that big piece in the space station in 2001.
