    References may not be related to you. That’s an old standard. Now, if he had done this with a dog of her choosing it would be a different matter. In that case, especially if the dog was known to her to be moody, I would totally accept it as a reference.

    I am a member of a group that helps people organize a job search. We assist with resumes, coach people how to network and conduct mock interviews – you can’t get enough interviewing practice.

    It is amazing how many people don’t have references lined up or use their pastor or someone who does not know them professionally.

    It is just as good as a job reference that companies ask for. Yes I’m going to give you the name of someone that didn’t like me and I didn’t like as a reference
