A Badger Owner?

That’s the meaning of dachshund – badger dog

Are Dachshunds ever mean?

He buys his cologne at costco, apparently.

My Dachshund gets along with most dogs and most people but for some reason just growls, barks and tears after some. I cannot tell what the differences are. My best guess is their religion is different.

To a dachshund, everyone and everything smells like a badger. “When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.”

I was told, as a child, to close my hand when reaching towards a dog’s face. Apparently our fingernails appear as teeth to the animal and are threatening.Now, how they came up with this theory I have no clue, but I’ve never been bit.

Actually, putting your hand out like that is not a good thing. It is threatening to them. Think if someone put their hand in your face like that. Best to go down to their level and allow them to come to you if they decide to. Never try to force the issue.

Is that Echo’s dad?

I have it even worse with Dachsies. I am a Badger: BA ’69, University of Wisconsin-Madison.

We have two friendly dogs and a terrier. All mutts.

Must be a University of Wisconsin grad.

Do all old guys smell like Badgers?

I always warn everyone that my small dog might bite. You never know what might scare her and cause her to snap, but they have been warned.

I remember giving my dachshund a nudge to go outside in the rain. She turned around and bit my hand. She looked apologetic though, so I had to laugh (as I dried the blood with a paper towel).

As discovered later, the guy makes badges on lanyards for things like security passes. He actually is a badger, although how Wally knew that….

Yes, but this isn’t my dog.
