No matter how hard humans try, climate change is not something they can control. The climate has always changed and always will. Big question is, What is the optimal temp. and climate of the various areas on the earth? and how do you arrive at that?
Welcome to the Anthropocene. I look at it this way, can I do something about it? No, and all of those who are flying around in private jets adding to the pollution and crying Climate Change are knowingly getting richer due to our ignorance; the Earth responds in geological time, we started this in the early 20th century, it will take longer to reverse it. I am hopeful however, remember the hole in the ozone in the 70s? It is gone, but it took about 50 years. Maybe in another 50 years…
What about China, India, and other countries that are NOT paying any attention to climate change/global warming/global cooling?
We, here in America, can go over the top in fighting ‘climate change’, but if those countries never do anything to help, our efforts will be wasted.
And by the way… all you electric car/truck lovers. Have you really researched the EV trail and where it would lead. Ultimately, I really doubt it will work. The materials required to build the batteries to store the electricity are not called rare earths for nothing. And a lot of them are controlled by China. Not that China plans on using them to build batteries for themselves, but will drain us dry when we pay them for the materials.
And many of those materials are toxic to begin with. And many places mine those materials using slave labor.
And disposing of used batteries is going to be an expensive process.
And the ultimate question is, of course, where is the electricity used to charge EVs going to come from?
We are going down a path of whose end we are not sure.
Why don’t we pause, catch our breath, and find out before going further?
(Of course, the ultimate political side of this is that it is merely being used as a means to further control our lives.)
