Isn’t it flat-out illegal in a lot of places to just sneak out of a hospital? If you insist on leaving without proper discharge you’re supposed to sign an AMA form, so I imagine just running out of there is frowned upon, especially running out with no intent to pay the hospital bill. Not that these two imbeciles care much about following laws anyway (they just go into hiding for a bit when they think they’ve done something illegal), and nobody in town ever seems to hold them legally accountable for all the stuff they do. I guess that’s the perks of being friendly with the corrupt (and apparently immortal) mayor Melba.

A combined 300+ pounds hits the wagon and it is able to handle it with ease? Maybe the worst written story in Jimbo’s career, which just means he will try harder on the next one.
