Don’t think of it as a workplace— think of it as somewhere to go so you and your pompous co-worker feel entitled and totally delusional about your self worth.
Number one rule, though admittedly difficult to manage. Find something you are good at and enjoy that pays a living wage (or equivalent) and make it your life’s work. Then work becomes A pleasure as long as the immediate situation isn’t too poisoned by corporate “issues”.
