Reminds me of a Sunday strip where Red had the idea of himself and Rover running through a sprinkler to see who would be the driest. Finding Rover was the clear winner, he said, “And the best part is that it’s a team sport and we’re on the same team.”
Rover understands the competitive element of running through the sprinkler. I love dodging all the sprinklers on my morning walk through my local botanic garden. And if one sprinkler “tags” me, the remainder of my walk is nice and cool.

Can Rover be faster than the lawn sprinkler? Let’s give it a… “dry”

We had an old saying about skinny kids. “She was so skinny she had to run around in the shower just to get wet”.

It doesn’t matter, when the fur of Rover becomes wet. Dogs incline to stink and it is helpful to wash it sometimes!

according to my dogs the point is to bite the water, get muddy paws, then pick up the sprinkler and toss it across the yard a few times.

When you dance through a sprinkler, the purpose is to get wet!

Tom Bombadil could do that.

My daughter’s bulldog hates the sprinkler. Barks at it and attacks it.

Rover dodges water droplets like Neo in the Matrix

Loses some realism when you realize most dogs won’t pass up a chance to get wet, then shake all over you. :)

An unfortunate panel combination with Red bending over and the zoom. Haha

That’s pretty fast, Rover.
