Our provincially owned phone company is expanding into TV over IP and service is quite good out in the sticks. My modem started getting problems and was replaced in a couple of days and they did work on the lines to improve things. Cable programming is mostly two hundred channels of Dr. Phil and Kardashian quality. I stream
Aside 6:30 AM, hummingbird having breakfast at my hanging flowers and 30 sparrows on the rail (which I now have to take the hose to) waiting for me to refill the feeders
Ours is Spectrum. They didn’t have ANY competition in our neighborhood until 5G came along. Now there’s a fiber company installing in our area. I hate dealing with phone trees.
When the options on the phone or online don’t apply I look up the company in question and address my situation via Messenger. It resolved many a frustrating situation.

actually dealing with any of those companies can drive you bonkers. More than five minutes I start yelling at the phone.

Back in the 80s, I worked for Group W Cable. Cable was free for employees, never bothered.

Their monopoly is eroding, thanks to cut-cutting.

remember, he is calling the cable company because somehow the cable was at the source of the house fire. There is no item number in the menu for that.
