Growing up on the farm, my dad (in particular) would have breakfast early (perhaps after doing a few chores – like milking the cows), do some work, take a break and have what he/we called lunch around 9 or 10 o’clock, do some more work, have dinner around noon, back to work, lunch again around 3 o’clock, work some more, and supper around 5:30 or six o’clock.
