    My dad used to do that all the time. But it was more like, “A nickel to whoever finds my glasses!” There were enough of us kids, we didn’t need to involve our friends. And we used to find his glasses everywhere — under the porch, under the hood of the car, the gutters — wherever he happened to be working last was a good place to start.
