When I was a kid the neighbors had a chestnut tree. Called them horse chestnuts, not the edible kind that were gone due to disease. Anyway my father would burn trash and we would through the chestnuts in and watch them explode. Cheap thrill.

Couldn’t you just get a bunch of STEM kids with ESTES rocket engines to deliver the payloads to the clouds instead of burning plane fuel contributing to the problem?

They used to seed the clouds to get rain…Why’d they stop?

I’ve been trying to find out whether anyone has been cloud seeding over drought-lands for over 35 years and RBION just…. comic’d it out….

Cloud seeding is somehow surprising? I’m pretty sure that has been done for over a century.

Actually, I am a bit surprised. I’d thought they’d given that up as impractical, about half a century back.
