In a way the ads could be considered “great”, but in another way, many of the ads in old comic books were practically predatory, trying to sucker kids into all sorts of scams.

Those X-ray specs were a huge disappointment.

X-Ray specs had you looking through the edge of a feather. Try a diffraction grating from Amazon, instead. Probably work just as well.
