I had the good fortune to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium when a mola, or sunfish, was there. I’d never heard of them, and my mouth actually fell open when I saw it. It wasn’t quite as big as the one in the picture, but still a truly amazing animal!
I always love visiting aquaria that feature a walk-through tunnel like this. My favorite (partly because of proximity) is the one in Camden NJ. Anyone know where and when the first one was constructed? I’m too lazy to look it up.
Certified divers can dive in the Living Seas tank at EPCOT. It had always been a bucket list item for me to dive in an aquarium! There’s a few black tip sharks in there. I like to chase the sharks around. Once, I followed it into an area that was congested, and it turned around and came straight back at me! I just laid back and let it swim right over me, like a flyover! What a view! The divemaster told me later that he wished the videographer was still in the tank, as I would have made the cut for the video demo they show. It’s also great fun to mess with the kids outside the glass!
Don’t know if others saw this on TV – in mid 2020 at an aquarium (forget which one) since they were closed anyway they let the penguins out of their residence area to freely walk around inside the building. Of course this was filmed and online (and on various TV shows). The penguins were walking through the exhibit areas and were looking at the various exhibits as if they were members of the public there for a day’s visit to the aquarium – and they really seemed interested in seeing everything.

Press your face against the glass; it’s better than any TV you could own today.
