Gotta remember this one for SJOY ’23.
Only a non-calamity to people who are comfortable taking just the news that is spoon-fed them by ‘the powers that be’.
I actually thought that the voices on TV and Radio gameplay were employed by the stations that broadcast the games.
Its overstated, I’m an Orioles fan, I didn’t even know Kevin Brown was suspended, until he came back. Though once the owners dad, Peter once fired Jon Miller for much the same thing.
So much for freedom of speech.
Like the look of 16th century Tank…
About the same.
Once again l’m learning sports news from this strip. Thanks, Mr. Hinds!
Owners don’t want to offend anybody. Consequently they offend almost everybody.
Back when radio was king, a Yankee sportscaster commented that the Yanks were “having a bad day.”
He was castigated for it by the Yankee front office with the order, “The Yankees never have a ‘bad day’.”
(And after Googling to try to find who made that gaffe, I discover that the Yankees are in an eight-game losing streak, the first since 1995.)
No he isn’t overstating anything.
It might be an overstatement, but it’s a fair analogy!
Wow, suspending someone for telling the truth. Remind anyone of someone else who demands blind loyalty?
Surprised Tank never mentioned Glenn Kuiper. Totally unfair, IMO, and probably a salary dump.
