The lady-bugs him

I don’t think it’s nice to eat ladybugs.

Where are all the gentlemen bugs ?

There not supposed to be beneficial in that way.

[They’re supposed to be good for the garden: for plants – not frogs.]

He’d rather have junk flies [food]

Eat flies and mosquitoes instead, please.

Nope! I don’t wanna! ☹️

Doesn’t their bright coloration warn predators they are toxic if eaten? In the very least I know they release a chemical, from their knees I believe, when frightened.

You killed the ladybugs! You treasonous toad!!!!

Blech! Those things are really bitter…er, so I’ve been told…

But it’s Spotted Lanternfly Season — fill up on those ALL you want! I’m hoping our local birds learn to recognize those invasive pests as FOOD soon.

for a couple of years we had a plague of Multicolored Asian Lady Beetles that were not only overwhelming in number, but also prone to biting.

If you as a human eat 100 ladybugs it will kill you.
