I like how Gene and Miles both are afraid to say to the other they changed their minds.

Gee, just as Miles is about to launch into the story of the strange occurrence to the bowling ball in the night.

Gene: “Me, do what’s right? I married you, right?”

Seems like he made one right choice – he married Donna!

And now Miles realizes there was no need to break his dad’s bowling ball because his dad already changed his mind about letting the boys see the movie.

So how will this continue? Either Miles will panic and try to put the ball back together somehow, or Gene will discover the boys plan but goes along with it so he can keep Miles from seeing the movie without having to break his word or disrupt the natural order in the Wallace household.

Now that Miles has overheard everything, maybe he won’t go through with his plan to get punished on purpose.

He’s got you there.

Uh oh. Hopefully he didn’t break his bowling ball yet

He probably will make the right decision if you kick him out of bed in the night to quiet his son’s nightmares.
