I practice getting up off the floor. It ain’t easy in your eighties. We are lucky and built the house single floor, with grab bars, wide doors and high toilets. One can wheel from inside to the curb. The EMT guys will appreciate that some day….
I always roll over on my stomach, then get up on my hands and knees, then one foot on the floor ground and stand up. If my back is out i crawl on my hands and knees to to an object I can pull myself up on.
If I’m going to be down on the floor or the ground for any planned purpose, I always think ahead about how I’m going to get up. Fortunately, I haven’t fallen in years and I hope I don’t as I don’t bounce like I used to.

Friend and I were on deck when the bottom of my chair gave out, glad she didn’t take a picture before she rescued me

You’re getting old when you don’t get down without making sure you have a way back up… and also that getting down is worth the effort.
