    If they both die on the same day, that would be convenient, because people won’t have to figure out what to do with the dog.

    My feeling might be wrong, but back in the days people became old in much younger years than today. I mean when my great aunt got 90 in the early 1980s she was counted as very old like today people of 100+ years old.

    As I’ve mentioned before, there was an episode of Scooby Doo which included a sequence showing Scooby still with his human friends when they were in their seventies. Scooby commented, “I’m five hundred and twenty-five in dog years!”
