Well, Fred, I sort of hate to point out the obvious, but you sort of are. Therefore, he’s shouting his head off. Cause and effect.
Are you sure you are a purebred Basset Fred because that is some Terrier behavior there, maybe too much time around Jock?
I really do not like this new Fred. Instead of being sweet like before, he is now mean and nasty.
Smells are better than yells……
When I yell abruptly at my Lizzie, she ignores me, too! Only when I ‘sing song’ her name sweetly will she come.
Yup, that’s our Missy. :(
Not ignoring, just not responding
I wouldn’t ignore him for too long. After all, he does provide food and shelter for you.
(silberdistel: I’d say that “He’s not coming later, either” is more correct than not coming later, too. Don’t ask why. It’s just my gut speaking!)
Oh, he’s just being a dog. Following a powerful scent is MUCH more important than listening to your Dad.
Ah yes – we call that behavior “Selective Listening”. If Mr. Dear were to say something else, “Let’s have a sausage” for instance, Fred would respond almost instantaneously.
Fred ……. you realize that if you don’t show up soon …… you’ll probably end up on a leash …… :0
