I doubt it’s as easy as you think. I wonder how they keep coming up with new ideas year after year. That can’t be easy.

No art is easy. Try drawing the newspaper in the first panel Papi is holding.

Reminiscent of the ’toon Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck interact with their artist.

They don’t call it a “work of art” for unknown reasons.

Am I the only one that sees a “bar-code” superimposed over the last panel?

Generally, I find the boneheads are the ones working at any of a variety of online sites that merely have to host the new comic each day. Just this last week, Arcamax didn’t update several comics for 4 days. I’d say all the competing sites are about equally guilty of falling asleep at the wheel. Even GoComics recently erased an entire comic (Luann?) for a day. The comic wasn’t just missing, the entire page was gone, like it never existed.

Shouldn’t that picture be the other way around, with Carmen in the clear and Sergio in pinstripes, or cell door bars?

My dad was an accountant and an attorney. In the 1960s he picked up a modern art gallery down in Greenwich Village as a client and we would go to openings of shows in the gallery. Cartoons were big then as art – both in popularity and in size. Attorney in the next office to his was same for Roy Lichtenstein who was extremely well known for his art which were paintings of cartoon style pictures.
