Well that explains why things get stuck. And why unsticking them is no go. Pulling a solid apart at the atomic level requires power. Think of the interface as granite. Three minerals (usually) bonded together.

A ray of hope? Can he cut around Alan’s arm and free the mixed bit? Beats a bloody amputation without medical care available.

Good thing Terrence still has some Topsider tools with him. Cut a chunk of stone around the arm to free Alan, though it’s going to look odd to have a cube where his hand used to be.

At least Alan doesn’t seem to be in pain with his hand no longer in existence, or perhaps he’s still in shock.

Oh dang….and my questions are answered, too!

“His arm no longer exists.” Once again, Aaron is an evil genius.

Poor Alan. He didn’t seem to be an adventurous sort. But he’s been on this harrowing journey, and done heroic things. And now…this. That’s an “I never signed up for this" face, isn’t it.

Here’s hoping for a kind and helpful outcome, although Terrence is not necessarily known for such. But does it strike anyone as unusual that Terrence the peacock has a mouthful of teeth which which he is grimacing?

Or maybe that’s just part of the fun of drawing anthros.

Set the knife to cauterize…..he should immediately regenerate an arm……if they were in cartoon land.

Provided Terrance isn’t thinking of cutting his hand free from the wall and not thinking of cutting the wall from around his hand.

One thing is for sure… Alan is now, officially, left-handed.
