Ah, film strips bring back memories of growing up back in the 1960s and ’70s. I was on the “AV squad” and delivered equipment like film strip projectors and the like to classrooms and set them up for teachers to use.

I got to see the Disney filmstrip on VD in health class. I later found out there’s a fully animated film version.

Red seems to think that learning about something old isn’t learning something new. He’s much more into the future and space travel than he is into the past although he does say he liked the film and he sometimes plays at being a cowboy or a pirate rather than a spaceman.

Watching films was one of my favorite things in school. I see my little darlings are back in school routine!

The Colosseum isn’t all that old by Roman standards. It was built after Nero’s death. The land it was built on had been purchased cheaply by Nero following the Great Fire of Rome.

What’s new is old. What’s new to some is old to others.

What’s old is new. What’s old to some is new to others.

Some new things are new to everyone. Some old things are old to everyone. So what’s new (with you)? New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New Mexico?

There are lots of new things in Rome, but nobody crosses oceans and continents to see them.

According to the latest hot social media trend, men think about ancient Rome at least three times a week while women (who apparently don’t think about ancient Rome much at all) find this phenomenon surprising. This comic marks my first thought about the Roman Empire for the week. The week is young and I’m a history geek, so I’m certain I’ll hit my quota.
