Yesterday I got my husband a new sandwich from Arby’s. You know how they advertise “We’ve got all the meat”? Well now they have a hamburger that is 34% venison, 33% elk, and 33% ground beef. He liked it. Meanwhile I wanted to know why elk isn’t venison. Most of the sites said it was, so I’m guessing Arby’s wanted to be “special”.
we picked up some “ciabatta” at costco on a recent visit and yesterday over lunch were marveling at how they seemed to have soaked it with much, much more butter-like grease than they do with their garlic bread…

An especially difficult task considering the seven other layers of ‘stuff’ in there. Even before added condiments.

Sounds like my daughter. Seriously; I can taste two burgers and find absolutely no difference, but she knows something is off. Incredibly fine palate.

Do you suppose the restaurant is a tribute to the comic strip created by Gus Arriola? But Gordo didn’t generally wear that style of hat.

By the looks of him Cruz eats anything and everything. That’s not really discerning.

I miss hamburgers. Can’t find good ones in Scotland. They aren’t bad you understand, but neither the flavor nor the texture are quite right.

Tastes good. Good for you. Or cheap. Pick 2. (Note: “Time is money,” so making it yourself forfeits the “cheap” option.)
