I honestly HADN’T seen billy before this arc, but I had heard of him on wikipedia as the strip’s token racist jerk (And many more fitting words not suited for this site). But I don’t see this ending well.
Unfortunately, I can see this ending badly for Baldo. Billy will try something, Baldo will react, and then Baldo will get blamed, possibly have the cops called. Billy is a male Karen, and they’re very quick to call management or the cops.
I have zero clue what’s going on here or in the previous strip. Did I miss some sort of intro? What was with the free food comment? What crawled up Billy’s behind?
cue the dark ambient music with discordant overtones which, although broadly tonal, is inflected with chromatic and polytonal passages representing the archetypal example of a florid, melodramatic style without being interpreted as an overly heavy-handed metaphor within the context of the thematic material a bit on the frenetic and frantic side
My local paper had a different opening panel: Rather than “You people are in my booth” it reads “There’s something different about this burger”, which made the reat of the strip kind of a head-scratcher
I’ve been bullied by so many Billiys! This sort of confrontation makes me sick and what’s worse is I rarely had anyone to defend me. The people nearby usually join in on humiliating me.. because it’s amusing to see the abused person getting more abuse (?) Now, they try to tell me that being an introvert is a sin. I’d like to get up to that pulpit, shove the so-called Pastor aside and correct that statement. What happened to cause you to choose isolation was the sin. Pastors are supposed to be shepherds not bullies.
Oh, I love the “You people” lead in. Classic elitist, entitled, grouping line. Well, get used to a tsunami culture change, and learn a second language. Life evolves, and you better evolve with it, or you get left way behind.

“these people” have always been with us they just seem more emboldened since 2016 to openly vocalize their racial biases.
I hope billy gets a taught a lesson but I hope Baldo does not give in to anger, however he has every right to open a can of whoop@zz on billy

Cruz is very large. He should just stand up and Billy would be scared off.
