We had a ouija board at my family cabin. I had a few friends over. We were 11 year old girls….the planchette was moving all around…in the darken cabin we were in thrall until we saw the Witch couldn’t spell San Francisco; figured out one of our buddies was directing the movements ( I’m talking to you Jane Kiernan!) It felt so real in the moment…imagination!

Bless his precious heart, Wallace is the only one feelin’ it.

Fine, except for this nut that’s gonna get the whole town in trouble.

Even for Seagull Nate is exaggerating. I love the way Rose tries to have a conversation.

I love the child-like-innocence of this cartoon and it is always charming. Except this thread. (Warning -I’m about to rain on the parade). Ouija boards are real and it is dangerous to play with them and I certainly object to promoting them to children. The only time I went to one of those it got dark and creepy and freaked out several attendees. I’m talking crying and screaming. I myself sensed an evil presence. It was my only experience so that is all I have to go on.

I’m pretty sure that’s what Bobby said in that episode of King of the Hill with the whooping cranes. Woo loo loo

Props to Will for figuring out how to spell that sound Wallace is making in the last panel. It’s perfect.
