I lived in a very, very nice home once. I worked at home. I dressed in rough comfortable casual clothes. I got rid of solicitors and door to door sales people by claiming the owners were in Australia and I was the caretaker.

Sort of was a caretaker. The bank and county tax assessor could take the house away in a heartbeat if I missed a payment. Eventually I got tired of the huge property taxes with yearly increases.

It’s not mandatory to tip what he says…..because it’s only a suggestion!

But check your pizza next time he delivers it….LOL

When the pandemic began, pizzas went up $3.

I got caught up in the “Tip well and tip everyone” mindset during Covid because I truly appreciated the no-contact delivery and people working publicly for my benefit but when everything opened back up again, I quit tipping for counter service and for pick-up. I refuse to be bullied into tipping when there is no sit-down service or delivery. And what the heck is a tip jar doing on the counter of the gas/convenience store or card reader tip prompts at non-service retailers?

Yes, that guy complaining a $5 tip wasn’t enough because you live “in such a nice house” was an eye opener. Now I just go get the pizza myself
