    Someone I know used the phrase “I’m offended” to control their targets. Later after being covertly offensive, triggering an altercation, tells her target she isn’t allowed to be offended then laughs at the target for saying “I’m not offended, I’m hurt” in front of all their friends, twisting the narrative, again in order to strip away another layer of the target’s already thready self esteem. Walk away!
