I know it’s hard for non smokers to understand. I smoked 2-3 cigarettes a day for about 25 years. I enjoyed them! I’d have one when I got home from work,( none of my co-workers had any idea I smoked,) after dinner and one before I let the dogs out, brushed my teeth and went to bed. I quit two and a half years ago. I don’t regret it, but there are days when I have to stop myself from going to the AM/PM to buy a pack. If you handed me a lit Marlboro I’d smoke it down to the filter…and probably choke to death!
When I tell people I eat plant-based, the second thing they say, after “where do you get your protein”, is “I could never give up cheese!”. For a lot of people, sugar is very addictive. Americans consume about 100 pounds of sugar annually.

It’s all relative.
