Saw a food trailer advertising deep fried butter!

Why of course it always foods eating time.

Been a long time since I went to a county fair . Thus I have not done this one ;-(

It’s obviously not a Counting Your Calories Fair.

Oreos, yum, fried, bleagh.

Last time I went to a county fair was to see Garrison Keillor’s road show, back when he brought the whole ‘A Prairie Home Companion’ crew.

Yep, it’s all great until around 30 minutes later. That’s when he starts to sweat and feel short of breath (and not just from walking the fairgrounds). Then comes a slight tingling sensation and numbness running down his left arm as well as a sudden bout of light-headedness. It’s about then that he recalls his doctor warning him about changing his diet, but doctors- pfft! What do they know?

Had a friend est several deep fried foods then went on the Rollo-Plane. He yelled several times that he was getting sick and was ready to throw-up. The ride operator just laughed until it started raining pieces of corn dog, fried pickle, coke, and Indian Taco. We all laughed because the operator had to stop the ride to clean up the mess.

Yeah, nope! I don’t/won’t eat foods from a vendor at the State Fair, getting food poisoning again, is certainly not on my list of things to repeat.

Anyone else like onion rings with ketchup and ranch dressing?

I try to avoid fried foods these days but I have literally done this in the past, which might explain my current shirt sizes.

What else are you supposed to do while waiting?

Has anyone here ever eaten fried Oreos? What are they like?

BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos and Grilled Pork Chop in a Glove at the Plymouth County, Iowa County Fair.

He’ll be lucky to finish the day without a heart attack. So what is he? 350 lbs?

Are they still selling batter-fried butter?

Is there Deep Fried Ice Cream, too?

I’m too much of a traditionalist for fair food. Fry my chicken? Fine. Hush puppies? Tasty. Fry butter? Now you’re just showing off.

Why would they ruin oreos by frying them?

I try to avoid fried foods as I don’t like them.
