In the Alternative Universe, releasing someone’s money that was in frozen bank accounts (and would have to be returned at some point in time) in exchange for American prisoners that had been in Iranian jails for years is somehow called ransom.

Americans must learn to stay out of hostile foreign countries, else they may stay permanentlly or end up like Otto Warmbier.

This is a lie. It’s not ransom. The money was Iran’s, held up due to sanctions.

Reagan ’s team made a backdoor deal with Iran for them to continue to hold the hostages to blame Carter. That deal included arms trades with Iran and support of the Contras, the latter led to much of the violence in Nicaragua that is contributing to the refugees coming to the U.S. today. More of the Reagan cabal, including him and H.W. Bush should have gone to jail which would have blocked them from pardoning some of the others.

Trump canceled the Iran deal which contributed to these people being jailed (more hostages held because of a REPUBLICAN). Possibly Iran refused a Trump hotel, definitely because Trump had to get rid of anything that President Obama did. There were inspections by U.S. and allies to prevent Iran from developing nukes.

THE MONEY WAS IRANIAN FROZEN ASSETS, no U.S. funds involved.
