Until recently I used food, especially salty food, as an anti-anxiety medication. It’s better than pills at allaying anxiety, but does have weight-gain side effects. Right now I am trying to not do that. It’s hard, really, really hard to change the habit of a lifetime.

A pinch of nutmeg in my coffee in the morning reduces anxiety and stress. either working or having a placebo effect. Either way it’s working.
Plus Holy Basil supplements;
Lower blood sugar in people with diabetes.
Lower cholesterol levels.
Provide protection from bacterial and viral infections.
Promote wound healing.
Reduce inflammation.
