Poor dog – if I had to spend my life on a chain, I wouldn’t be very pleasant, either. He seems to have a large yard with a secure fence; why is he living his life on a chain?
When we rescued Conan, the adoption contract specified that we would never chain him. We wouldn’t have in any case, but some folks do – what a miserable life for any dog.

Looks like someone foolishly left the gate open. Good thing that the dog was on a chain.
