Always amazed me that with their hyper-sensitive olfactory organs, dogs want to roll in dead animals and/or excrement and become so incredibly odiferous! Seems the smell would be overbearing to them.
Not terribly germane to the issue at hand, but, according to a Ripley’s Believe It or Not a day or two ago, great horned owls actively hunt skunks because the great horned owl has no sense of smell.
