The ship goes when the wind blows.

Hey kid! There was NO internet signal, either!

No wind…no headway…running out of food.

No refrigerated food, contaminated water barrels, no fresh fruit (scurvy). Or maybe no food at all if out there long enough. It was not a good thing, could be life-threatening…

Lots of stuff to do! They had dice games, card games, coin tosses, cribbage and peg solitaire. And don’t forget sea shanties!

Also a limited amount of fresh water and food other than fish.

The mindset of anyone who hears your tale of woe only to try and ‘out-do’ it with theirs.

“My heart is breaking..” Yeah? You think that’s bad? This is what happened to me! -Never worked to cheer me up!

Suppose you’re at the mall and you forgot your cell phone at home. so now you have to wait for a fair wind to sail home and collect it…

And, remember, it’s happening at equatorial waters, so it’s going to be hot. With no breeze.
