My local news channel has gone from anchors sitting at a desk to delivering the news standing in front of a giant video screen. A few months ago the weatherman did his report in a suit and tie — and flip-flops. After a commercial break he was wearing shoes, and I’ve never seen him in sandals since, fortunately. Most people’s bare feet simply are not that attractive, especially not with business attire.
