Flour mill explosions are absolutely a thing, no ‘could’ about it. Flour is highly flammable, but usually has too little oxygen to ignite. Suspend huge amounts in the air, however, and one spark is all it takes.
Here is a list of flour mill explosions: https://en.m.wikipedia.ORG/wiki/List_of_explosions and Mr. Wizard demos it: https://m.youtube.COM/watch?v=8t5iTunRkO4 .
I remember two corn elevators blowing up in my area, when the dust from the corn, suspended in the air, ignites, even from just a static electricity spark. One happened at the Farm Bureau Co-op in Lacrosse, Indiana, and the other at the Farm Bureau Co-op in Union Mills, Indiana. In both cases, a worker was standing near the top of the elevator, and the explosion blew them outwards, and gravity pulled them downwards. Neither survived.
Dust explosions usually come in twos.First there is a small localized explosion that shakes the dust off the ceiling, rafters, and walls and then the big one.

Saw a video of one corn silo that collapsed and the dust hit some electrical boxes. Big fireball.

Oppenheimer in IMAX sound like a reel heavyweight of a movie.
