I sat one evening and watched a bartender make martini after martini, so I asked for one just because I’d never tried them. After finishing it, I asked her never to make another one for me.
I’ve got oodles of Boodles – it was on sale yesterday $5 off per bottle – bought 4 of them – over 90 proof – also if I only got a single 1.5oz Jigger of Gin in a martini at a bar, I’d stop going there.
(note: Nash’s martini is “yellow” because it has some sweet vermouth in it; I make mine with 1/4 jigger sweet vermouth, 1/4 jigger dry vermouth, 2 1/2 jiggers Bombay Sapphire gin, and a dash of bitters. I believe this is called a “perfect martini” in some cocktail manuals.)

Well at least they know their readership (a bit too well it seems).

Lol, so true. I am 61 and enjoy this strip :) .

I think the strip is aimed at general audiences. Plus, this strip has had a lot of adult themes and jokes.

Despite what James Bond says, martinis should be stirred not shaken.

More and more of us enjoy a Wake & Bake with our comics … especially Sunday!

I like my martini served in a travel mug so it stays chilled all day. And two olives!

I resemble that joke.

Can I “like” this more than once? I’m old and would love a martini.

I read these comics to my grandkids when I see them. Does that count?

One drink of wine, and two drinks of gin, and I’m Lost in the Ozone, Again!

I’m 70 and know no one who reads comics, sadly.

Been reading comics since I was a tot. The body ages, the mind does not.

There is something about a Martini
A tingle remarkably pleasant;
A yellow, a mellow Martini;
I wish that I had one at present.
There is something about a Martini,
Ere the dining and dancing begin,
And to tell you the truth,
It is not the vermouth-
I think that perhaps it’s the gin.
- Ogden Nash

Second time today I’ve looked up lyrics, I know the song but couldn’t remember the chorus. Here’s the Kingston Trio >

I don’t think anyone under the age of 21 even knows what a comic strip is.
