My wife starts a new job Monday. She wants to pick up Skittles, Reese’s Pieces and M&Ms; they’ll be mixed in one bowl. Bad news for the “grab and gulp” crowd.
The orange Skittles used to be excellent but they changed their recipe and now they’re just “ok”. An email of complaint to the company just got me a form letter saying they reserve the right to change the recipes now and then. I replied, “I’ll exercise my right to switch to a different candy”.
I was introduced to the British version of M&Ms, called Smarties, back in the 70s. They’re made with that nice Brit chocolate, are much bigger, and the orange-coloured ones actually taste orange!
Jelly Belly used to see big bags of their miss sharpened beans. They were labeled Belly Flops and they were all mixed up in the bag. I used to share them and everyone would try to figure out what flavors they had. Some were tasty.

I always separate into color piles then eat one pile at a time.

Skittles: yellow and green eaten together, all the rest separately. M&Ms, who cares, all the same. Only two candies I eat that are multi colors.

If you eat them all at once it counts as fruit salad.

Testing the Halloween candy to make sure it’s still fresh! Totally relate!

They don’t have different flavors. The colors are there to make you THINK they are different flavors.
